Biomechanical Running Analysis
A biomechanical analysis is a 60 minute session where we will analyse your running technique using video analysis as well as analyse your movement using a Functional Movement Analysis. This will allow us to identify any weaknesses and inefficiencies that could cause injury or prevent you from running faster.
This session is the most important because we look at the weaknesses of the body during movement and how your body reacts to the change of movement going from walking to running. Balanced biomechanics, form, and technique are key factors to running faster, more efficiently, and injury-free. Correct running form ensures that we create and maintain linear momentum, reduce joint impact, minimize energy loss and maximize efficiency and economy. The application of Biomechanical, Gait and Movement Analysis with video documentation helps us to identify any weaknesses including the underlying causes for weaknesses in walking and running. The results help us to develop individualised programs for people to work on their inefficiencies, whether that is technique, reducing the risk of injury or performance programmes for people.
This biomechanical analysis is suitable for:
- Beginner runners
- Serious amateurs
- Elite runners
- Distance runners
- Triathletes
